Jayne
Music is one of the greatest passions in my life. I started to play the violin at 9 years of age and piano at 11 years. I achieved grade 8 in the violin, viola and piano.
I qualified in music at A level, was awarded a B.A. (Hons) Music from Hull University and gained a post-graduate diploma in orchestral violin playing from the National Centre of Orchestral Studies. I am also a qualified primary school teacher and have a PGCE.
I have taught music privately to both adults and children who gained excellent results when entered into ABRSM exams. I have been teaching for 25 years, have taught class music from nursery to year 6 and led classes and instrumental groups in the production of concerts.
I enjoy playing the violin and piano at home and with groups of friends. I have extensive experience of playing in orchestras and ensembles including the Helix Ensemble and Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra. I currently play violin with the Rutland Sinfonia.
I love teaching music and get a great sense of achievement when I see pupils enjoying music and developing their potential.
